MORE INFO
On each episode long-distance friends Marianela Ramos Capelo and Ruth Coustick-Deal tackle a different part of contemporary human lives, talking about the way technology and the Internet are changing it.
From Sex to Cities, from Work to Outrage, we bring research, expertise and our lived experience working in the Human Rights space to share stories on tech and society. Brilliant guests often join us for these chats and bring professional insights on topics like consent in fanfiction, ending hero worship in tech, radical libraries, and making the Internet safe for sex workers.
Episodes are released once a month, and are available from all podcatchers including iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Acast, and Spotify. If you have questions for us, email thingsintersect@gmail.com to get in touch.

HISTORY
We started this podcast as two colleagues and friends on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean who could never go for that after-work drink. So we began Sunday calls to fill in that gap, sharing ideas and pouring over issues we care about - one of us with coffee, one with wine. Eventually that became the pod: fully independent, home-produced, inspiring conversations.
MISSION
To educate on the human impacts of technology in a friendly and feminist way, and to signal-boost great people and work, who otherwise are rarely spotlighted on these topics.
To directly increase understanding of key issues and changes in technology, to show how it relates to their own lives, or the lives of others, and why that matters.
